“Ben and me” is a project of communication. The goal was to communicate relevant topics to an audience as broad as possible– with the help of Illustration. Information today is highly selected and every peer group choses its own sources. This is why I decided to use the public space as my stage.
Topics like consumerism, the worldwide financial system and social media were mediated in an ironic way through the most simple and ephemeral medium: chalk.

To capture my ephemeral art pieces and the development process of my project, I documented each step during the four months on film. Not knowing where it would let me to, I spontaneously captured parts with my mobile phone, others were additionally shot in the end. The result was the movie “Ben and Me”– the story about the artist with the chalk.
