Sophie Bösker (*1990 in Germany) is a director, screenwriter and artist based in Vienna.
Through her films she explores hybrid spaces between documentary, fiction, and experimental cinema. Central to her artistic practice is a subtle and humorous engagement with socially relevant topics.
She studied Literature, Art, and Media at the University of Konstanz, Design & Art at the Free University of Bolzano, and completed her Master’s degree in Social Design – Arts as Urban Innovation at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in 2020.
In 2023, she co-founded the association “Weibsbild Filmproduktion” with Daniela-Katrin Strobl.
Since April 2024, she is working in the Master Program “Social Design” at the University of Applied Arts Vienna).
