ABERDIG

Based on an extended research, the project basically examines our existing soil. Since the industrial revolution, humans are producing high masses of non-organic material, which is not capable of returning to the cycle of nature. This materials live much longer than the human himself. Aberdig is an apple field study, examining the soil of apple fields around Bolzano as a representative for the shift of our nature. The final product is a collection of fruit bowls, pressed out of nothing more than the collected soil – including the waste material that was found on the field.
